A Roberto Cavalli-designed Mini Paceman in the Italian designer's favourite gold-theme was sold for a record €150,000 at the AIDS Solidarity Gala in Vienna, Austria. The special Paceman, dubbed "Life Ball Mini 2013", has an iridescent paintwork, Cavalli logo on the roof and signature on the door, gold-painted roof and alloys, along with gold-finished grill frame, mirror cases, headlight and taillight surrounds.
In the interior are gilded elements, Cavalli’s logo on the headrests and sun visors, along with animal prints on the steering wheel and instruments.
Since 2001, 13 unique Mini models have been created by fashion designers, with auction proceeds of more than half a million euros being donated to projects dedicated to the battle against AIDS.
