Orientalism Inspirations from Gucci @ Milan Fashion Week
By SENATUS News | 19 September 2013

Shimmering golds, azalea purples, lizard greens and salmon pinks were the dominant colors on the catwalk for Gucci's Spring/Summer 2014 presentation, all worn over fishnet black underwear with straps and belts left drooping. The Italian label kicks off Milan Fashion Week, with a collection featuring billowing see-through tops and Art Nouveau-style floral patterns.

Frida Giannini's vision for next summer season's designs seems reach further back to the turn of the century Orientalism.
