Richard Nicoll Fall/Winter 2014 | London Collections: Men
By Men's Journal Online | 8 January 2014

Designer Richard Nicoll unleashed a kaleidoscope of color with his fall/winter 2014 collection. Meticulously thought out, the collection was inspired by the 1975 album Discreet Music by Brian Eno. Balancing discreet and brutal styles, menswear essentials came together in fine form, blending streetwear influences with classic inspirations. Here formal dress shirts became longer counterparts, layered with crewneck sweaters and sporty tops.

Suit jackets even became part of the narrative with bands of color breaking the formality of tailored lines. Altogether, Nicoll served up a collection that met the season’s color quota while also offering exciting menswear essentials to covet.
