Viktor & Rolf Unveil New Fragrance BONBON at Spring 2014 Couture Presentation
By SENATUS News | 2 February 2014

Designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren unveiled their new perfume at their couture fashion show in Paris earlier in January. Viktor & Rolf wanted their new fragrance to be "bon, very bon, twice bon", and hence the name 'BONBON'.

Including notes of caramel, orange and sandalwood, the new scent is aimed at women who want to indulge and get some pleasure from life, with the bottle shaped like a bow and coming in a pinky-red box, which is seemingly tied like a present. It will initially be made available in the label's Paris boutique and London department store Selfridges in March, with the US getting it the following month.

The bow theme also takes centre stage in the advertising campaign, which stars model Edita Vilkeviciute. She is naked in the pictures, save for a number of bows painted on to her body. The images were lensed by photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.

This week's couture presentation was inspired by the image, with dancers from the Dutch National Ballet wearing pale pink latex creations overlaid with tattoo-like motifs.
