Karl Lagerfeld Launches New Fragrances
By SENATUS News | 18 March 2014

Karl Lagerfeld just unveiled his newest signature fragrances for men and women. The Spring/Summer 2014 campaign for the Chanel frontman’s homonymous line of scents features his long-time French male muse Baptiste Giabiconi and beautiful German model Kati Nescher.

The Karl Lagerfeld eau de parfum offering for women incorporates pinches of lemon, peach, rose and magnolia and was developed by Serge Majoullier and Christine Nagel. Meanwhile, the men’s eau de toilette scent by Christophe Hérault includes lavender, mandarin zest, apple and violet leaves. Both of the fragrances are already on stock at the British department store Harrods and across the pond in the US-based Macy’s.

“I don’t believe in projects that come together too slowly; having too much time is very bad. It’s like cooking: Eat it when it’s hot,” the renown eighty year-old fashion designer said about his latest fragrances, “There has to be a kind of sophistication and not too much of a down-to-earth garden, flowery hot-house mood."

“The important thing with a perfume is to be new when it comes out and [then] turn into a classic in your bathroom.”
