Ralph & Russo Fall Winter 2014 Celebrates Golden Age of Couture from 1940s and 50s
By SENATUS News | 13 July 2014

London-based Australian couple Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo closed off the schedule on the final day of Haute Couture Week in Paris, in only their label's 2nd official presentation. The Fall/Winter 2014/2015 collection featured cocktail dresses, evening gowns and red-carpet pieces, and included bejewelled jumpsuits and cigarette pants with billowing silk tops. The colour palette transitioned from off-whites and ice-blue to midnight blue and black via lilacs, purples, crimson and bold magenta.

Several silhouettes brought back nostalgic elements from the golden age of haute couture of the 1940s and 50s, with nipped waists and full skirts. The beading work was superlative and the embellishments included feathers, Perspex, pearls and crystals. See more photos: http://senat.us/1joUbZR
