H&M Opens in Kuching

The wait is finally over! On October 30, Swedish high street fashion label Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) finally opened its first store in East Malaysia at tHe Spring, Kuching. More than hundreds of people got in line for the official opening, to be the first in queue to receive gift card worth RM200 each. The next 50 fans in line received a RM50 gift card, while the first 200 shoppers were given a free exclusive tote bag.

To initiate the grand opening, Magnus Olsson, H&M’s Country Manager of Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Greater China, cut the red ribbon together with H&M Malaysia area manager Martin Romero and H&M Kuching store manager Justin Chan.

The 33,000 square feet store with an enormous one-story shopping space offer a comprehensive series of state-of-the-art fashion trends for men, women, teenagers, children and sportswear, as well as the H&M+ and maternity collection. H&M store at tHe Spring, Kuching become the first state outside Kuala Lumpur to welcomed H&M Home collection. Designed in-house by H&M Home’s Head of Design, Evelina Kravaev Söderberg and her team, she infused the brand’s DNA towards the fashion innovation into the modern home, alternating from household staples to ornamental embellishments for space in the house.
