Ryan Gosling for Gucci 'Valigeria' Campaign
By SENATUS Magazine | 1 October 2022

“Obviously the world keeps moving forward, whether I’m traveling or not. But I feel my life gain momentum when I travel with it,” said Ryan Gosling, who stars in the new Gucci Valigeria campaign – an exploration of the House’s vision of travel and the magical worlds and moments it can lead to.

Gosling cites Italy as a particularly symbolic place in his own personal narrative, recalling his mother’s wedding there. “To bring everyone together in a country where family is at the center of everything, it was very meaningful,” he said.

Gucci has its roots as a luggage company in Florence in 1921. Gosling showcases vintage luggage pieces alongside ones from the current Gucci Savoy collection – a nod to The Savoy where the House’s founder worked as a porter in his youth. Emblematic elements like the GG monogram and Web stripe are presented across trolleys, duffle bags, hat boxes, and other items in a past-meets-present moment reflective of the House’s continuing narrative in the world of travel.
