Dior L’Or de Vie, Édition Métiers d’Art - celebrates the International Year of Glass
By SENATUS Editor | 19 December 2022

The 2022 Métiers d’Art edition of Dior's L’Or de Vie celebrates the International Year of Glass. French artisan Xavier le Normand crafted the limited-edition jars housing Dior’s most exclusive skincare offer.

The ultimate masterpiece of glass art, each piece is unique, adorned with 1500 grape-like dots, engraved one by one by the artist.

Crafted over time with precious attention and extraordinary vision, Xavier Le Normand drew on the beauty of the legendary Château d’Yquem and took the precious, glimmering golden nectar as his muse, to transcend the idea of eternal beauty.

Xavier Le Normand blows and sculpt glass for over 25 years, fascinated by this material born from the alchemy between water and fire. Under the artist’s breath and skillful hands, L’Or de Vie La Crème has become a true invitation to art. Entirely hand-crafted in a refined choreography of precise expert gestures, each piece required hours of attention and several steps, from cutting and polishing, to setting and engraving, before coming to life after two days and one night.
