Hermès ARCEAU Grand Tralala Brides et Mors - honouring equestrian Hermès heritage
By SENATUS Editor | 22 July 2024

The Hermès ARCEAU Grand Tralala brides et mors watch features equestrian motifs on either a lacquered white or intense black dial. Rose gold and diamonds intertwine on this 34 mm case, reinterpreting the Grand Tralala silk scarf by French artist Virginie Jamin. Honoring Hermès’ equestrian heritage, the colorful bridles and gleaming bits reference the 19th-century Royal Hungarian Bodyguard’s harnesses.

Designed by Henri d’Origny in 1978, the Arceau watch embodies Hermès’ timeless style with its round shape and ‘stirrup’ design. The rose gold case, set with 64 diamonds and a gem-set crown, frames the white lacquered or black dial.

On the dial, bridles and bits in rose gold and 110 diamonds create a delicate pattern, complemented by a bit-shaped seconds hand. The watch is powered by the Manufacture Hermès H1912 movement, visible through the sapphire crystal case-back. It is finished with a smooth chantilly or black alligator strap, matching the dial’s color.
