Zenith has revived the iconic Calibre 135, first introduced in 1949, to create an exquisite new timepiece: the G.F.J. Named after founder Georges Favre-Jacot, this watch is a stunning tribute to the 1950s, blending vintage charm with a modern twist.
Encased in a slender 39mm platinum case, the G.F.J. features a stepped bezel and curved lugs, its sleek profile highlighted by a mix of brushed and polished finishes. The notched crown, proudly stamped with the G.F.J. initials, adds a personal touch. Beneath the sapphire crystal, the watch showcases Zenith’s signature blue dial—an emblem of the brand’s connection to the sky and its pursuit of precision.
The dial’s three-part design creates depth and sophistication. The outer ring features a guilloché “brick” pattern, faceted white gold hour markers, and a subtle minute track of 40 hand-applied gold beads. The central portion is crafted from deep blue Lapis Lazuli, flecked with gold pyrite that mirrors a starry sky. The oversized subdial at 6 o’clock, made of mother-of-pearl, displays the seconds, while the thin baton-style hands in white gold track the hours and minutes.
The G.F.J. is offered with a selection of straps: a dark blue alligator leather, black calfskin, or a blue “Saffiano” calfskin. A platinum bracelet with embossed brick patterns is available on request. Limited to 160 pieces, this remarkable timepiece is available for pre-order through Zenith boutiques and authorized retailers worldwide.
