Chopard unveils the IMPERIALE Four Seasons: a lyrical dance of time and nature

Since its debut in 1994, Chopard’s IMPERIALE collection has reigned as a symbol of regal elegance and horological artistry. Now, in 2025, the Maison unveils its most poetic chapter yet: the IMPERIALE Four Seasons, a complication that transforms the eternal rhythm of nature into a living canvas on the wrist.

At its heart lies a rotating disc, completing a gentle revolution over the course of a year, mirroring the endless cycle of the seasons. Rendered in hand-painted mother-of-pearl marquetry, the disc shimmers with subtle gradations of colour, evolving with every passing hour. Ingeniously indexed to the hour hand, it is a rare fusion of mechanical mastery and poetic expression — time made tangible through art.

The dial itself is a marvel: its upper half crowned with a lacework lotus in ethical 18-carat white gold, a motif that has become the emblem of the IMPERIALE line. Satin-brushed petals with polished veins catch the light with sculptural elegance, while the lower half reveals a glowing marquetry tableau, evoking the changing hues of dawn, dusk, and the seasons in between. Diamonds illuminate the bezel, case, and crown, amplifying the luminous aura of this regal creation.

Inside beats the L.U.C 96.31-L calibre, a self-winding movement composed of 227 components and endowed with a 65-hour power reserve, thanks to Chopard Twin Technology. Entirely developed and assembled in-house, it exemplifies the Maison’s commitment to vertical integration and technical savoir-faire.

As a final flourish, the timepiece offers four interchangeable alligator leather straps, each reflecting the chromatic palette of a season. Issued in a limited series of just 25, the IMPERIALE Four Seasons is far more than a watch — it is a celebration of life’s eternal cycles, where time, nature, and beauty converge in Chopard’s most poetic creation to date.
