Stephane Rolland's Bride
By SENATUS Magazine | 23 October 2011

After 10 years of working for Jean Louis Scherrer, Stéphane Rolland launched his Haute Couture label in 2007. The designer was inspired for his Fall/Winter 2011/2012 collection firstly by Caoshu, Chinese calligraphy from Han dynasty and secondly with Carmen Dell Orefice as his muse.

The collection was filled with movement, expression and beautifully orchestrated lines. The silhouettes were masterfully draped and the sculpted fabrics added another dimension to each garment. Stéphane Rolland plunged the necklines and placed exquisite ornaments to accentuate each piece. The silhouettes were long, slim juxtaposed by generous pants, sleeves and open seams. Rich plums, purples and greens accented the luminous black. Bursts of magenta and yellow were a beautiful addition, which captured elegance and sophistication.

Seen in this album: The last runway look was a white bridal piece which was dotted with crystals.
