The US Environmental Protection Agency has released the official fuel-economy figures for the new Tesla Model S, which will start being delivered to customers officially tomorrow. The EPA states that the Tesla Model S gets 89 MPGe (Miles per Gallon Equivalent) and 88/90 MPGe (city/highway).

Based on 45% highway, 55% city driving, 15,000 annual miles, the annual cost of charging the Tesla Model S should come in around an estimated $700.
