Balancing sleek tailoring and their signature patched together garments, Maison Martin Margiela approached the fall/winter 2013 season with a polished frame of reference. Dressed in hip rich fall colors, suiting easily delivered a Parisian elegance while piece together furs provided a rugged alternative. In the midst of these two variances, the man of Maison Martin Margiela was at peace and in comfort, spending his downtime in wide-cut trousers, leather jackets and cable-knit sweaters. Rounding out the show with two patched ponchos in leather, the collection was easily a working marriage of classic motifs and modern elements.
