In celebration of its 25th anniversary, BAPE, the Japanese lifestyle and street wear brand has invited Bell & Ross, to collaborate on a capsule collection launch, unveiled during BAPE's recent "BAPE XXV" exhibition in Tokyo.
Known for its professional aviation-inspired watches, Bell & Ross has chosen its BR03-92 for the customisation. The model is derived from analogue aviation counters and is recognizable with its square case, measuring 42mm in diameter and made of black matte ceramic. Its dial also follows military techniques of marking for maximum legibility. Formed by two overlapping inserts, the upper section is cut away around the numerals and indices, revealing the photoluminescent coating covering the lower insert. This contrasting method provides optimal reading of the dial during the daytime, as well as equally remarkable legibility at night thanks to its consistent and masterful photoluminescence.
BAPE x BELL & ROSS BR03-92 25TH ANNIVERSARY
The 25th anniversary version will feature BAPE's logo – an Ape's head – printed on its black dial at 6 o'clock and ultra-phosphorescent green numbers. Its modern design and functionalist dial fulfills the mission of displaying time with the utmost efficiency thanks to the Superluminova® C3 treatment.
Limited to only 25 pieces, the BR03-92 25th Anniversary comes in a water-resistant PELICAN® box, and is available with two straps: a black rubber version with BAPE's iconic character - engraved and hand-filled with lacquer – and a leather one, sporting BAPE’s trademark grey camouflage.
BAPE x BELL & ROSS BR03-92 GREEN CAMO
Another limited edition of 100 is launched alongside. This model combines Bell & Ross' signature design lines with the original green pattern BAPE® CAMO on its dial. The military tones offer an optimum contrast with its white numbers and Ape's logo. The result is an ultra-stylish fusion of functionalism design and streetwear style.
Both models are available on BAPE's retail network and at selective Bell & Ross boutiques.
