The new Cartier Eyewear Collection interprets three of the Maison's emblematic creations with a contemporary aesthetic made of innovative savoir-faire and sophisticated design.
In the Fall/Winter 2019 season the main collection pillars, Santos de Cartier, Panthère de Cartier and Première de Cartier, are enhanced with metal structures and variously colored lenses.
The Santos de Cartier range offers masculine proportions with bold full rim frames characterized by an assertive style, stated by the sunglasses titanium structures. Each frame is enriched with screws evoking the airplane rivets of the iconic Santos watch, thus lending an authentic and instantly recognizable look to the classic caravan, pilot and rectangular shapes.
A precious twist is given to the Panthère de Cartier selection, embellished with sculptural panther heads recalling the jewelry pieces. The decorations are enriched with hand-lacquered details as an echo to the onyx used for the panther spots.
In the line of the first Cartier spectacle released in 1983 the lightweight frames of the Première de Cartier collection reveal autumnal shades that express both elegance and attitude. The craftsmanship combines the Godron motif and the emblematic C de Cartier detail that signs each piece.
The black horn edition of Première de Cartier embodies Cartier’s excellence in manufacturing noble materials. This creation unveils a large array of shades and patterns that make each piece unique.
Going beyond tradition and modernity, this collection demonstrates the Maison’s talent to combine craft expertise with an even more creative touch.
