Cartier 'Into the Wild' Pop-up Exhibition at Gardens by the Bay Celebrates its Panther Icon

13 October 2022

By Tricia Oliviera

Cartier is inviting guests on a journey into how its emblematic Panthère became an icon, in its Into the Wild pop-up exhibition held at the Bayfront Pavilion in Gardens by the Bay.

Open from 16 to 30 October, Into the Wild spans 580 sqm, over eight unique rooms, presenting a path of discovery into the wonders of the Panthère universe. It ventures beyond a conventional visual experience into the realm of immersive theatre – free from restraint, full of potent spectacle and spellbinding beauty like the restless Panthère herself.

Within a series of interconnected chambers, the evolution of the iconic jewel, the creatives and crafts behind it, the impassioned tribe of Panthère devotees, and important pieces from the extensive collections are revealed through a vibrant interaction of digital, actual, sensory, and tactile artistry.

The Panthère has been a creative signature for Cartier since her first sighting: spot motifs on a watch in 1914. Capturing everyone’s attention, over the years it has become a precious symbol of free and assertive femininity.

The Into the Wild experience traces the history of this feline collection shaped by the instinct of Jeanne Toussaint, a visionary woman, and the skilled hands of exceptional craftsmen. A fleeting immersive experience where the panther guides the visitor through time, form, and space into the intimate details of a now signature savoir-faire.

Into The Wild opens with 2 days of by-invitation previews before welcoming the general public on 16 October. To register, click here.
