Ralph Lauren has unveiled a unique digital collaboration entitled The Dog Walk, showcasing the label's Fall 2013 Accessories Collection on rescue dogs from the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) and in so doing, raises awareness to support animal welfare.
Using 3-D imaging, The Dog Walk is an innovative video presentation starring the adorable pooches wearing Ralph Lauren accessories and was launched in celebration of Adopt-a-Shelter-Dog Month.
The footage follows various dogs alongside their female human companions as they leisurely stroll through iconic streets from New York City to Paris, walking landmark Ralph Lauren stores such as RRL on Bleecker Street and the flagship store on Avenue St. Germain.
The cityscapes appear in black-and-white, while the Ralph Lauren luxury accessories stand out in radiant colors, highlighting signature pieces from the collection such as the classic Ricky Handbag, timeless jewelry, adorable pup sweaters and elegantly crafted dog carriers.
Ralph Lauren has a long-standing history of supporting philanthropic endeavors, and dogs have always been an important part of the Ralph Lauren lifestyle.
“We are very excited to be working with the ASPCA to help promote adoption and bring awareness to the cause in this creative way.” added David Lauren, the company’s executive vice president of advertising, marketing and corporate communications.
Ralph Lauren has also pledged to donate 10 percent of the sales of select merchandise from 15 October through 15 November, to benefit the ASPCA.
