In celebration of "150 Years" of IWC Schaffhausen, the Swiss manufacture is putting up an interactive pop-up store at Fashion Walk in the heart of Causeway Bay in Hong Kong. Held from mid-April, for a limited time only, the destination is set to offer visitors a truly unique experience of the IWC universe.
On show will be the IWC Jubilee collection consisting a total of 29 limited-edition models from the Portugieser, Portofino, Pilot's Watches and Da Vinci families.
The series of timepieces revisits icons from the history of IWC; with one common aesthetic element -- the printed dials are in either white or blue - produced in a complex process with up to twelve layers of high-quality paints, and are reminiscent of historic enamel dials produced by the company.
A special highlight is the IWC Tribute to Pallweber Edition "150 Years" wristwatch, inspired by the historic Pallweber pocket watches produced in 1884 and a tribute to F. A. Jones – the American watch-maker who founded the International Watch Company in 1868.
The pop-up store will cover a total surface area of 3,140 square feet, spanning over two floors, inspired by the industrial style of the original IWC factory.
The ground floor centrepiece of the exhibition is a "time machine" that rewinds back in time and takes visitors back to IWC's founding year of 1868 and the historical watches produced through its history.
