JJ Lin has announced an upcoming two-day concert, teaming up with Marina Bay Sands, to donate ticket proceeds to vulnerable communities served by Community Chest.
To be held on 27 and 28 November at Sands Theatre, JJ Lin will perform live for invited guests and members of the public in a limited-capacity environment, with the performance streamed over JJ Lin’s official YouTube, Weibo and Douyin channels on 28 November, for those who are unable to join him in person.
The event holds significance for JJ Lin, as it will be his first in-person concert in two years since the Covid-19 pandemic began. Acknowledging that the pandemic has hurt the local music industry, JJ Lin said he wanted to support the local community, adding that 99 per cent of the musicians and crew involved in the concert are Singaporeans.
I used to travel all over the world for work in the past. But the pandemic has slowed down the pace of life, so these past months have given me more time to spend with my family and to reflect on life and music. Covid-19 has had a significant impact on many people, both physically and mentally, and I hope that through my concert and music, I can provide a message of positivity, and that together we will be able to overcome these difficult times," JJ Lin shares.
Due to the limited number of seats for sale, tickets for the two shows will be made available for the public to purchase through a ballot that will start on Tuesday, 16 November, 10:00 hours to 23:59 hours.
Tickets are sold in a pair, to align with revised seating configurations arising out of current SMM guidelines.
More details on the ticket ballot can be found via this event page from 15 November, Monday. The draw will be conducted under the supervision of auditors on 17 November, and successful participants will be notified via an electronic direct mailer sent to their registered e-mail address on 19 November, with information on how to purchase tickets.
