KAWS:HOLIDAY Braves the Snowstorms in Next Stop at Changbai Mountain in Jilin Province, China

14 January 2022

By Natalie White

Following its visit to Singapore at the end of 2021, KAWS:HOLIDAY continues its tour in the new year with a return to nature for its eighth stop at Changbai Mountain, Baishan City, Jilin Province China.

The international KAWS:HOLIDAY exhibition has been traveling since 2018, after its first stop in Seoul, passing through Taipei, Hong Kong, Mount Fuji, Bristol, Singapore and even outer-space, generating huge excitement and crowds of art lovers at each show.

KAWS is teaming up again with longtime partner and organizer AllRightsReserved to create a large-scale COMPANION sculpture placed on the breathtaking grounds of Tianchi, Changbai Mountain.

KAWS:HOLIDAY Changbai Mountain has been two years in the making, with sponsorship from The North Face. Within the setting of Changbai Mountain with an altitude of 2,750 metres, KAWS reveals a new dialogue with his iconic characters: two monumental COMPANIONs sit together amongst the mountains as they marvel at their surroundings.

The exhibition will be held from 6 to 16 January 2022.
