Champagne House Krug and Japanese composer and pianist, Ryuichi Sakamoto have come together after a creative journey of 18 months to produce a series of musical experiences entitled SEEING SOUND, HEARING KRUG.
Building upon decades of experience translating images and emotions into music, having created, and performed soundtracks for some of the most celebrated films in the world, Sakamoto, a multi-award-winning composer, musician, producer, and activist, composed and recorded a Suite in three movements to illustrate a trio of Krug Champagnes called ‘Suite for Krug in 2008’: Krug Clos du Mesnil 2008, Krug 2008 and Krug Grande Cuvée 164ème Édition.
