American designer Michael Kors has unveiled the Fall-Winter 2018/19 campaigns for his Michael Kors Collection, MICHAEL Michael Kors and Michael Kors Men lines, with the common setting being New York City, uptown and upscale, to be exact.
The main collection's marketing assets are fronted by internationally renowned model, Binx Walton, who channels glamour as well as laid-back comfort. A luxurious personal style rather than opulent accessories and showy baubles, seems to be the mood Michael Kors is going for, with the campaign shot by Dutch photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin - the first time in 12 years the duties has been taken away from Mario Testino.
Binx is seen posing on a private jet, in a style that captures a more intimate and laid-back side of modern luxury life. She is seen with ready-to-wear apparel and accessories, in a multitude of prints from tartan, animal print, stripes to florals.
"I wanted to capture the relaxed attitude that is today's answer to jet-set glamour," explained Kors.
The MICHAEL Michael Kors and Michael Kors Men collections were shot by Lachlan Bailey, and feature models Andreea Diaconu and Baptiste Radufe living day-to-day moments of urban life in New York City, either stopping for coffee in the Upper East Side, or strolling through Central Park.
"The idea was to capture caught-in-the-moment images on the streets of the city," Kors elaborated. "My customers live a fast-paced urban life and Lachlan is great at capturing these moments."
