The most iconic Italian actress of our generation, star of the Oscar-nominated Malèna to the Hollywood blockbuster Matrix trilogy, Monica Bellucci is the face of the new Dolce & Gabbana Classic Cream Lipstick collection campaign.
The lipstick is the heart of the Dolce & Gabbana Make Up collection, creamy and velvety and with a softness and subtle fragrance of face powder that are inspired by the wax-based lipsticks of the Fifties and Sixties.
On the opportunity to work together, the Italian sex symbol explained that her relationship with the designer duo goes back over twenty years, having met them when they were just up-and-coming stylists and she was a model starting out in Milan.
When I was introduced to them, they were so young, and maybe because they were so young, I felt completely comfortable."
In the lipstick campaign, the actress poses for Domenico Dolce as photographer while Stefano Gabbana helms as creative director.
"To have him in front of me through the camera was a new way to look at each other," Monica explained.
The end product are 2 different shoots presenting two faces of Italian seduction. The first has Monica in the Rouge Devil lipstick that matches the dress she wear. In the second one she is dressed with neutral and soft shades whilst wearing the Petal lipstick.
