14 January 2016

By Tricia Oliveira

Valentino has unveiled its haunting Spring/Summer 2016 ad campaign, shot in Amboseli National Park in Kenya, tie-ing in closely with the label's collection which took inspiration from African culture.

The images were lensed by American Steve McCurry, famed for the 'Afghan Girl' photograph seen in National Geographic.

The campaign visuals feature the native Masaai tribe in the African reserve, as well as models Alice Metza, Cameron Traiber, Greta Varlese, Kirin Dejonckheere and Tami Williams.

Valentino's newest accessories offering, with African motif including beaded and hand painted handbags first presented in the runway presentation, also feature in the latest campaign images.
