SINGAPORE The world's first high-end mobile phone celebrates 10 glorious years of luxurious communication.
Vertu marked the occasion in Singapore with an assemblage of the city-state's creme de la creme as well as those from South East Asian neighbour countries.
Guests arrived at the plush IndoChine Restaurant by the scenic Singapore river, and were ushered into the elegant set-up of Bar Opiume. Veuve Clicquot champagne was flowing, excellent hors d'oeuvres circled around the crowd as did the bubbly laughter of friends and new acquaintances. Sweet music rose out from the elegant jewel-studded flute of master flutist Andrea Griminelli who was entertainment for the evening.
Griminelli's concert was witnessed by a most distinguished group that included Hollywood Actress Michelle Yeoh, Asian Business tycoons Sir Dato Francis Yeoh and Mr. & Mrs. Anil Thadani and the Vertu President himself, Mr. Alberto Torres.
The decade past saw Vertu's commitment to the manufacture of the finest, most innovative and exciting mobile phones the world has ever seen, taking pride on finely-tuned engineering, authencity and extraordinary craftmanship likened to fine watches and jewellery. Unique materials of precious stones, prime metals and superior leathers set Vertu apart from the rest of the mobile phones available, giving it a solid status in the luxury market.
