That moment when the stars come out and the New York City skyline rises to meet them? That is what Tiffany & Co. design director Francesca Amfitheatrof captures in the American jeweller's 2015 Tiffany Masterpieces collection.

It's as close as it gets to bottling angel dust, what with the designer crystallising the night sky down to the setting of the world's most beautiful diamonds onto Tiffany & Co. statement pieces for Fall 2015.

I’ve focused on diamonds to create an extremely modern collection that is very clean and sculptural"

Amfitheatrof who is in Singapore for the worldwide debut of the collection, explained that she explored the Tiffany archives for jewels of diamonds and platinum, the iconic symbol of glamour throughout its 178-year history.

Highlights include a 1930s necklace which has been updated to become a contemporary masterpiece, with elegant lines that are strong and geometric, and diamonds hand-set in seamless formation.

The same effortless beauty is witnessed in the rest of the collection, on the earrings, pendants and bold, sculptural rings designed with mixed-cut diamonds — princess, square, baguette and round — in platinum.

The 2015 Tiffany Masterpieces collection can be viewed at level 2 of the Tiffany & Co. Takashimaya S.C. store from 18 to 25 October 2015.
