Hennessy Artistry, the global art of mixing is back - Bigger, Bolder and Better!

This year, Singapore’s edition of Hennessy Artistry will be held on 4 June 2010 at Powerhouse, St. James Powerstation. As with previous years, “The Global Art of Mixing” will bring together the best of local, regional and international acts for one night only.

When the best cognac in the world blends with the world’s best musical talent - it is not only an event but a unique experience not to be missed.

For the third year running in Singapore, Maison Hennessy is delighted to announce the return of its musical platform Hennessy Artistry, a unique platform entirely dedicated to “Mixability” that characterizes the Hennessy universe.

Hennessy Artistry is all about the mixing of various genres of music and the blending of top talents and emerging artistes. Combining the acts with spectacular ambience and energy, an extraordinary experience is created. This showcases Hennessy’s art of blending in both cognac and music, by combining tradition with trendy innovation.

Hennessy Artistry 2010 is back in a Bigger, Bolder and Better Format
Unlike last year where each talent was showcased at various venues, Hennesy artistry 2010 has programmed an entertainment-packed event in one of Singapore’s biggest club, Powerhouse of St James Powerstation. This exclusive party will showcase the best local and regional Hip Hop and R&B talents. Holding fort behind the DJ console are Singapore’s very own DJ KoFlow, DJ Rough and Kevin Lestor.

These DJs have outdone themselves in their careers and are much sought after in the region. Complementing the music mastros are Beatboxer Dharni (Runner-up in World Beatboxing Championship), Bamrah Brothers adding tempo and beats with their percussions and artistically inclined MC Rosh G.

Blending the best of local and international artistes is international artistes Summer Daniels and DJ Tempo from Speaker Junkies and DVJ.G Mix from Malaysia.

History of Hennessy Artistry
Since its inception in 2006, Hennessy artistry had some of the most famous celebrities performing in its parties such as Ne Yo, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Wyclef Jean, LL Cool J and Ashanti. In addition, it has garnered a celebrity fan base including Drew Barrymore, Jay-Z, Hilary Swank, David Arquette, Carmen Electra, Lance Armstrong, Ewan McGregor, Jessica Alba, Rosie Perez, Mandy Moore, Kirsten Dunst, and Kevin Connelly.

In Asia, Wang Lee Hom, David Tao, Jolin Tsai, Jacky Cheung, Sammi Cheng, Amei, Jay Chou and our homegrown DJ KoFlow, Chou Pi Jiang and Great Spy Experiment have been part of this multicultural and vibrant series.  This platform has engaged many consumers and similar to Hollywood, Hennessy artistry has gained a huge fan base in Singapore and Asia. Every year, everyone looks forward to this returning series.

About Speaker Junkies
Performing first time in Singapore, Speaker Junkies will be churning out the coolest mash up of electronic sounds that will keeping the crowd going.  They are of the few groups that perform their set “live” with a vocalist, drummer, DJ and keyboard.

Speaker Junkies founded in 1999 by Tekno Tom (keytar) and Rezn Tokes (synths), has evolved from a revolutionary underground live duo into a complete band with the addition of Summer Daniels’ vocals and Tempo on drums, pushing and blurring the lines of live and electronic music and are set to storm the mainstream. “We have transformed into a band that many describe as Gwen Stefani, Lady Gaga, Fergie, DJ Tiesto and electro/pop/techno music in a blender,” explains Tom.

Expect a night of non-stop entertainment and be among the few to enjoy the best blend of local, regional and international entertainment, similar to Hennessy, a blend of the best eaux-de-vie.
