Events & Performances
To celebrate Singapore’s city nightscape and the dynamic artworks that will light up the Bay, a range of exciting fringe events will also take place during the Festival. Each weekend, there will be a Night Carnival featuring booths selling food and drinks, as well as eco-friendly merchandise.
Visitors can look forward to free coffee from NESCAFE, as well as free light painting activities offered by LUMIX. Visitors will be entertained by roving percussion performances of samba, rata and reggae beats by Junk Jam, talented LED light twirlers and towering LED stilt walkers as well as Singapore Sky Dancers’ synchronised kite flying.
In addition, there will be outdoor story-telling sessions that showcase the fun science of light and sound while also communicating the sustainability message in a lighthearted way.
Working with community partner People’s Association, i Light Marina Bay 2012 will also present the NESCAFE® PAssion Movie Night during its final weekend on 31 March 2012 at The Lawn. Visitors can also learn to create their very own light installation – a "Light Catcher" made out of simple craft materials – at a workshop to be held during the movie night.
