The organizers of the successful Men's Fashion Week fashion raises the bar in the region's fashion industry with the announcement of the first Women's Fashion Week at Marina Bay Sands.

Singapore, 11 June 2011 – Following the successful inaugural Men’s Fashion Week 2011 held in Singapore from 30 March to 3 April this year, Fide Multimedia Pte Ltd will once again present a new, equally sterling fashion initiative, Women’s Fashion Week 2011 Singapore (WFW 2011), come end-October at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.

WFW 2011 is proud to have the partnership of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands as the event’s ‘Title Sponsor’.

The inaugural WFW 2011, a fashion and style extravangaza, was announced at a preview party held in conjunction with the Closing Charity Gala Party for ScreenSingapore this evening attended by more than 800 guests at the ArtScience Museum, including members of the media and over 30 other local and regional celebrities.

The Rain Occulus of the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands was transformed into a magical setting for the fashion showcase.

WFW 2011’s Festival Director [Founder and Managing Director of SENATUS], Kien M Lee added, “With the increasing excitement and hype of Singapore being positioned as the fashion hub of the region, WFW 2011 is a timely initiative to bolster even more recognition, support and participation from the vibrant fashion scenes of this part of the world and beyond.

"In presenting the upcoming Spring/Summer collection of designers and brands, WFW will certainly serve greater relevance and significance to consumers in tropical Asia, especially Singapore.”

Daniel Boey, internationally acclaimed runway show producer and Creative Director of WFW 2011, concurred, “Attendees of the inaugural WFW 2011 can expect a colourful spectrum of internationally-renowned brands as well as Asian and Singapore designers showcasing their Spring/Summer 2012 collections.

WFW will be an invaluable platform especially for Asian and Singapore designers to showcase and gain wider exposure for their collection beyond their local shores.”

Taking the fashion experience beyond the runway, one of the most exciting elements of WFW 2011 is a charity auction where the highest bidders will win a once-in-a-lifetime chance to “eat, live and breathe” fashion with international personalities, A-list stars and acclaimed designers. The charity auction is launched at the 1st Preview Party and continued throughout the season.

More than 180 SENATUS members were exclusively invited guests of the event.
