Emma Hill to Depart Creative Director Role at Mulberry

Emma Hill is set to depart her role as creative director of Mulberry. In 2008, affter accessory design experiences at Gap, Marc Jacobs and Chloe, Emma took over the reins at the British label replacing the then-outgoing Stuart Vevers who left for Loewe.

“Mulberry confirms that Emma has informed the company that she wishes to leave after a very successful period at Mulberry during which she has built a strong and talented creative team working for her."

“The main Spring/Summer 2014 collection has been completed and Emma continues to work in the business finalising the London Fashion Week collection which will be launched on September 15, 2013."

The exact timing of Hill's departure is understood to be currently under discussion and has yet to be finalised.

Mulberry was founded by Roger Saul in his Somerset garage but has seen major Asian growth over the past decade after it was purchased by Singapore-based investor Christina Ong.
