Cristiano Ronaldo Named Fifa World Player of the Year
By SENATUS Motoring | 14 January 2014

Portugal and Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo was named Fifa World Player of the Year for the second time, putting an end to rival Lionel Messi's 4 year winning streak. The Argentinian Messi and Frenchman Franck Ribery of Bayern Munich were in contention for the 2013 Fifa Ballon d'Or.

"Thank you to everyone, my team-mates, the national team and my family, to everyone here. Eusebio and Mandela were very important for me, I can't speak," Ronaldo said at the awards ceremony, as he broke into tears.
