Singaporean label Ong Shunmugam presented its Cruise 2016 collection at Singapore Fashion Week, marking its 3rd runway presentation at the annual fashion showcase on the iconic Orchard Road in the island city. With textiles drawn from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam, cut into silhouettes inspired by the Japanese kimono and infused with elements from the Chinese cheongsam as the starting point, ONG SHUNMUGAM’s collection of 28 looks presents the modern woman with a wardrobe blending the nostalgic with the forward-looking.
