The French fashion label is set to show its Fall/Winter 2017/18 collection for the first time at New York Fashion Week on February 13, on the occasion of its 20th anniversary this year. The move from Paris is part of a wider strategy to strengthen the label's presence in the US, where it has already opened 25 stores with a fifth New York boutique set to open in April.
In February 2015, Paulo Melim Andersson joined the design team for the label, and has been co-creating the womenswear and accessories collections with creative director Cecilia Bönström.
Paulo Melim Andersson studied art and design at Central Saint Martins in London before cutting his teeth as a tailor's apprentice. Eventually, he took up the position of creative director at Marni, and then at Chloé eight years later.
