LVMH has announced that Hedi Slimane will be taking over at Céline as of 1 February, assuming the role of artistic, creative and image director with a mandate to expand the label’s offering into menswear, couture and fragrance.

The designer previously helmed Dior Homme, and most recently Saint Laurent, will show his first collection for the brand in September during Paris Fashion Week.
