Longchamp celebrates the Year of the Horse with a poetic Le Roseau capsule #YearoftheHorse
By SENATUS Magazine | 6 January 2026

Longchamp pays tribute to its founding emblem with a joyful new campaign and capsule collection dedicated to the 2026 Chinese Year of the Horse. At the center of this celebration is the house horse, a signature symbol of energy and freedom that has defined the brand's history since its inception. For this special occasion, the iconic motif is reimagined in a gold tone as it gallops across traditional backgrounds of carmine and burgundy. These rich shades of red serve as a stylish reference to the auspicious colors of the Lunar New Year, which are traditionally associated with vitality and protection.

The accompanying campaign, titled Riding the Spring Breeze, stars top model Cici Xiang and was captured by photographer Leslie Zhang. The visuals reveal a poetic and pop-inflected universe featuring reinvented horses that invite a nostalgic journey back to childhood. Set against a tongue-in-cheek décor of dazzling blue skies and bright green grass, the campaign reflects the sense of optimism and renewal that defines both the change of seasons and the core values of Longchamp.

The iconic Le Roseau bag takes center stage in this collection, reinvented in two new smooth calfskin formats. Its signature gold-toned bamboo clasp is updated with a delicate new bow detail on the front to complete its refreshed look. The capsule also includes small leather goods such as an envelope-style pouch and a card holder that nod to traditional red envelopes, alongside a silk equestrian ribbon and a fluffy horse-shaped key ring designed to serve as a lucky charm.

Available starting December 30, this limited edition collection and its exclusive packaging will be offered through February 26 at selected Longchamp boutiques in Mainland China, Malaysia, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan Region, and Singapore. To mark the festivities, flagship stores will host a variety of attractions including merry-go-rounds with animated horses and Plinko games. These interactive displays are designed to create memorable moments that honor the campaign's theme and the arrival of the Lunar New Year.
