Bottega Veneta is ushering in the Chinese New Year by honoring the intersection of shared cultural heritage and the beauty of personal tradition. The new campaign, directed by Dorothia Zhang, serves as a heartfelt exploration of the rituals that define this season of reunion.

Taking creative cues from the iconic Mandopop classic Sweet Honey, also known as Tian Mi Mi, the film features a cross-generational cast of cultural figures. We see cinema icon Sylvia Chang engaging in a lively karaoke session with her son Oscar Wang and his partner, You Tianyi. Nearby, "Divine Dish" winner Qu Yuyu meticulously prepares a festive meal, while actor Zhang Kang Le selects a vibrant bouquet of flowers.

The campaign further highlights individual expressions of the holiday as Olympic swimmer Pan Zhanle debuts a fresh ensemble. In a nod to the 1996 romantic drama Almost a Love Story, actor Yo Yang and his wife Melinda Wang share a scenic bike ride. This particular vignette mirrors a famous cinematic moment where the song was performed in the streets of Hong Kong.

As each talent performs snippets of the 1979 melody originally made famous by Teresa Teng, the individual scenes flow together to complete the song. Through this rhythmic structure, the campaign illustrates how a single melody can bridge different perspectives and regions.

Bottega Veneta utilizes these intimate moments to reflect on its core values of timeless craft and the power of artistic encounter. By focusing on the grounding nature of these seasonal customs, the brand celebrates the universal emotions that bring people together during the New Year.
