Hermes Spring/Summer 2012 Maillots by Christophe Lemaire
By SENATUS Magazine | 26 January 2012

Hermès celebrates the endless summer with spring/summer 2012 maillots designed by Christophe Lemaire. Hermès has created haute sportif ensembles for horse-riding, skiing, and aquatic sports since the rise of exercise as leisure in the 1920s.

The spring/summer 2012 collection by Lemaire features four different themes: Solid colours, Graphic, Thalassa, and Vent Portant prints. Taking inspiration from the house's rich archives, the re-interpreted Thalassa print was designed by French printmaker Pierre Péron in 1973, while the Vent Portant was created in 1992 by artist Yannick Manier.
