In commemoration of Singapore's Golden Jubilee, Cartier will be holding its first-ever public exhibition of contemporary high jewellery in the world at the Singapore Pinacothèque de Paris in Fort Canning Park, for one day only, on 31 October from 10am to 6pm.

The exhibition is a showcase of Cartier's new Étourdissant Cartier collection, a series of high jewellery creations or bespoke pieces that pay tribute to the Maison’s heritage, which spans more than 160 years.

Highlights include a 197.80-carat Ceylon sapphire that was once worn by Maria Feodorovna, Russia's last Tsarina. Originally mounted on a brooch and then in 1929, as a pendant by Cartier when it was bought by singer Ginna Walska, the sapphire was reacquired by Cartier in 2014 and is presented on a bracelet as part of the new collection.

Of the 600 pieces of high jewellery, haute horlogerie and precious objets d'art that will be on display, 60 will be making their world debut in Singapore – another first for Cartier.

Admission is open and free to members of the public.

A shuttle bus service between the main entrance of Park Mall and the Singapore Pinacothèque will be provided at 15-minute intervals.
