The Classic Fusion Elements II collection stands as a testament to the enduring partnership between Hublot and The Hour Glass. These watches not only highlight the remarkable craftsmanship in each creation but also honour the profound connection between time and the natural world.” – Michael Tay, Group Managing Director of The Hour Glass
The Classic Fusion collection holds a unique place in the history of Hublot, from its ground-breaking design launched in 1980 which catapulted the brand into fame, as well as taking on a design inspired by a ship's porthole - "hublot" in French.
The Classic Fusion Elements II collection for The Hour Glass continues this legacy, emphasising the “Art of Fusion” philosophy by combining innovative materials with traditional craftsmanship. Five natural stones take the stage:
Lunar Meteorite (SGD 43,200): This dial is crafted from a rare lunar meteorite, symbolising the celestial connection and the timeless mystery of the universe. Each dial, with its deep grey tones and metallic sheen, is a fragment of the moon itself, making every watch a piece of cosmic history.
Pink Jasper (SGD 31,700): Known for its nurturing energy, pink jasper is often associated with tranquillity and healing. The warm, rose-hued dial exudes a sense of calm and stability, representing emotional balance and a connection to the Earth’s nurturing forces.
Turquoise (SGD 34,800): A symbol of protection and wisdom, turquoise has been revered across cultures for its vibrant cyan hue. The dial’s rich colour embodies the clear skies and serene seas, representing a sense of calm and clarity, while also providing a talismanic quality to the watch.
Sodalite (SGD 31,700): This deep blue stone with white veining is known for its connection to logic and truth. Sodalite’s rich indigo colour evokes the infinite depths of the ocean, symbolising introspection, wisdom, and the pursuit of knowledge.
Nephrite Jade (SGD 32,400): A stone of endurance and harmony, nephrite jade boasts a rich, deep green colour that symbolises prosperity and longevity. Its lustrous green hue reflects a sense of renewal and vitality, representing the strength and balance that jade has been believed to impart to its wearer throughout history.
Each dial is housed within a 42mm-wide titanium case with both polished and satin finishes, accentuated by 18k gold components including the crown and iconic H-shaped bezel screws. The watches feature a transparent sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, offering an unobstructed view of the meticulously crafted dial. Flip to the back to view the satin-finished titanium case back, which is engraved with “SPECIAL EDITION” and the limited edition number of each piece.
Powering these exceptional watches is the HUB1110 self-winding movement, comprising 177 components and offering a 42-hour power reserve. The titanium case measures a mere 10.4mm in thickness, offering a comfortable yet striking presence on the wrist. Featuring an 18k gold 5N and stainless steel deployant buckle, the black alligator strap completes the watch’s artistic and sophisticated aesthetic.
The Classic Fusion Elements II Special Edition for The Hour Glass is available at The Hour Glass boutiques in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
