Symmetry has always been mesmerising and caught the eye, and has been ever-present in human history, contributing to some of the greatest architectural projects in the world.
It is the approach that has defined Maxime Büchi's tattoo designs in his work for the Sang Bleu initiative. Together with Hublot, the two have created an original intriguing and eye-catching piece.
The Hublot Sang Bleu with its geometric shape is reminiscent of the watch equivalent, one could say, of Leonardo de Vinci's Vitruvian Man.
With a subtle play and superposition of rings and squares, encapsulated within the quadrature of the circle, the unique Hublot creation tells the time in the most audacious manner.
A brand-new, totally redesigned Big Bang sees its roundness shaped into a hexagon, giving it a tangible three-dimensional effect.
On the matt black dial sits a wide black satin-finish circular flange stamped with the hours, with the numerals specially created by Maxime's typeface-design agency SwissTypefaces SARL.
The seconds counter, rises above the metal sculpture that dresses the dial.
Available in a run of 200 pieces, the titanium Big Bang Sang Bleu follows the rhythm of the Unico manufacture movement, which has been entirely remodeled without a chronograph and redesigned in order to tell the time through three discs.
As for the oscillating weight, its silhouette features the triangular codes of the Sang Bleu logo.
The Big Bang Sang Bleu is held on a black calfskin strap. Sewn onto rubber, it is hot stamped in a gradient from black to grab.
The Sang Bleu logo is also engraved on the back of the strap.
The Hour Glass is the exclusive retailer for Hublot in South East Asia.
