Eearlier this year, German luxury brand MCM opened the MCM HAUS, the brand’s first Southeast Asia flagship store. In its full splendour, the boutique spanning 2,160 sq. ft. offers a full range of products, encapsulating the label's bold, irreverent and aspirational world.
Now, in addition, MCM has just unveiled the MCM Playground, its brand-new space located next to the boutique, showcasing a playful design concept that takes influence from vintage music players, such as cassette tapes and stereo boxes.
Inspired by the blue flag of city of Munich, Germany - the brand's birthplace - MCM Playground is bathed in an elegant shade of blue. Retro stereo box motifs run along the fixtures while a giant cassette-shaped installation outlined with neon lights with "I LOVE SINGAPORE," perfectly embodying MCM’s enduring relationship with music and uniqueness of the MCM Playground for Singapore.
The modern yet inviting space is designed to provide consumers with fresh and interactive experiences, including the exclusive Made-to-Order Patricia service, elevating a transactional operation to a fun, immersive shopping experience.
In time for the holiday season, the brand’s Festive 2018 collection is now also available at MCM HAUS and the new MCM Playground. Highlights include the quilted studs and shimmering Swarovski crystals that feature on a number of classic MCM silhouettes including the Patricia, the Stark and the Berlin styles, all sparkling in both silver and black.
