Officine Panerai has launched a boutique-exclusive set of three historic cases in a bold new color, green.
Yes, you read it right. The haute horlogerie manufacture in Nauchâtel has returned with three historic cases - Radiomir, Radiomir 1940 and Luminor 1950 - that will all take on a dark green dial, against which the luminous beige hour markers and gilded hands elegantly stand out.
The Radiomir 8 Days Titanio – 45mm
Titanio which means Titanium, the PAM735 features a cushion case which is made out of brushed titanium and classic wire loop strap attachments and conical winding crown which dates back to 1936. Contrasting the brushed case is a polished bezel that surrounds the deep matte green color sandwich dial.
At the 3 o’clock position is a magnified date window while at the 9 o’clock position is a small sub seconds dial. The hands are completed in a gold color.
The PAM735 is powered by the in house P.2002 8 Day Calibre visible through a clear crystal on the case back. The watch is water-resistant to 10 bars or a depth of about 100 meters.
The Radiomir 1940 3 Days Acciaio – 47mm
The polished 47mm steel case of the timepiece is topped with a polished bezel and the iconic domed crystal. The PAM736 is powered by the P.3000 hand wound 3 days mechanical movement manufactured in-house in Neuchatel and is water resistant up to 100 meters.
Limited to only 300 pieces.
The Luminor 1950 Chrono Monopulsante 8 Days GMT Titanio – 44mm
The PAM737 uses a brushed titanium case and polished bezel combination to house the matte green sandwich dial with vintage ecru lume.
Inside, the chronograph movement is powered by a single button at the 8 o'clock position which controls the start, stop, and reset functions.
The minutes of the chronograph are measured at the 3 o'clock position, a sub-second dial with AM/PM indicator for the GMT is at the 9 o'clock mark, and a linear power reserve rounds it all out at the bottom above the 6.
Similar to the two other pieces, hands are finished in gold to contrast beautifully with the deep green of the timepiece.
