With the global debut of the Tonda PF Chronographe Mystérieux, the Maison introduces a revolutionary chronograph architecture that prioritizes visual silence over technical clutter.

It is a world first that removes traditional sub-dials entirely, allowing the watch to maintain the purity of a three-hand timepiece until the moment a measurement is required.

This mechanical breakthrough relies on an unprecedented structure featuring five coaxial hands at the center of the dial. When the mono-pusher at 7:30 is activated, three rhodium-plated hands deploy instantly to measure hours, minutes, and seconds across the full breadth of the dial.

Simultaneously, two rose gold hands continue to track civil time, ensuring that the hierarchy of lived time remains central and undisturbed.

The soul of this innovation lies in the caliber PF053, a movement comprising 362 components developed specifically for this timepiece. To manage the superimposition and transformation of the hands, Parmigiani Fleurier utilized a triple clutch construction featuring one vertical and two horizontal clutches. This complex engineering ensures that the transition between appearance and withdrawal is seamless, coordinating three perfectly synchronized phases with a single command.

Aesthetic elegance defines the exterior, with a Mineral Blue dial that shifts between deep aquatic reflections and mineral intensity. Hand-crafted Grain d’Orge guilloché captures the light, providing a constant vibration that contrasts with the knurled platinum bezel. The integrated bracelet continues the fluid architecture of the case, ensuring a natural continuity that feels intimate to the wearer.

Parmigiani Fleurier Chief Executive Officer Guido Terreni explains that measured time should not be confined to small technical counters. He notes that "measured time no longer hides within reduced sub-dials. It unfolds across the full dial, fully expressed".
