At this year's Dubai Design Week set to take place from 13 through 18 November, Swarovski will be exhibiting a large-scale sculpture ‘Prologue’ by Fredrikson Stallard in the center of d3, and will showcase the latest Atelier Swarovski home décor collections at the newly opened Swarovski Creative Center.
Created by the London- based designers in 2014, 'Prologue' is a luminous circular sculpture featuring more than 8,000 topaz- colored crystals which shimmer as they reflect and refract the light, mimicking the iconography of the sun.
This is the first time 'Prologue' has been exhibited in the Middle East.
The debut of ‘Prologue’ in Dubai marks 10 years of Fredrikson Stallard and Swarovski’s design collaborations. Patrik Fredrikson and Ian Stallard have become leading exponents of British avant- garde design and internationally recognized talents.
Swarovski aims to showcase their dramatic structure as a beacon of what Swarovski aspires to achieve in their future collaborations with the finest Middle Eastern talents across fashion, jewelry, architecture and design.
Swarovski will also present the latest pieces from Atelier Swarovski's home décor collections at the Swarovski Creative Center, a hub of ideas and resources for local designers recently opened in d3.
Atelier Swarovski's home accessories are created in collaboration with the world’s leading design talents including Fredrikson Stallard, a range of centerpieces, bowls and candlesticks inspired by the glaciers surrounding Swarovski's headquarters in Austria.
The functional and decorative pieces celebrate innovative design and have a strong focus on combining crystal with other materials to bring art and light into the home. These latest additions to the constantly evolving range build on the acclaimed 2016 debut collections.
