An exhibition designed for Hermès by Hilton McConnico and presented at the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station in Singapore

In celebration of our theme for 2012, Hermès is delighted to announce the opening of "The gift of Time" in Singapore. The exhibition will run from 1st to 12th August 2012 at the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station.

In the course of a circular walk-through display representing time, American artist Hilton McConnico, scenographer, poet and long-time partner of Hermès, tells the story of Hermès time through poetic displays tinted with light humour, variety of colours and a series of sensory discoveries.

"Hermès time does not try to master time but rather offers us the time to see and understand this ever changing world", says Hilton McConnico.

The visitor begins the walk contemplating the origin of time, before continuing on to free time, time suspended, in reverence to the watch, or to the stroke of time, reminding us of the patina on objects. Finally, time will be dedicated to a moment of sharing and to the transmission of memories and thoughts.

Hermès is pleased to welcome visitors to the historic Tanjong Pagar Railway Station for the Singapore edition of "The Gift of Time".

At this dreamlike space embellished by time and movement, visitors are invited to travel into the heart and emotion of Hermès time. 

This exhibition made its debut in Hong Kong and will continue after Singapore in Lille, France.
