Social Media Week (SMW) is a global multi-city conference connecting people, content and conversations around emerging trends in social and mobile media and will be held simultaneously in New York, Miami, DC, Paris, Hamburg, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, São Paulo, Toronto, San Francisco.

Delivered through a network of creative conferences and streamed online through social media, SMW reaches an extensive network of people (including C-level executives, entrepreneurs, journalists, bloggers, brand managers, social media strategists, artists, activists and the technology/media digerati), connecting and communicating ideas and experiences to advance our understanding of social media’s role in society.

Now in its third year globally, SMW comes to Singapore for the first time in 2012 and is produced by AKA Asia alongside a team of advisors.

Reflecting on the global impact of social media and its role as a catalyst in driving cultural, political, economic and social change. Social Media Week's theme in February 2012 will focus on Empowering Change through Collaboration.
