José Carreras International Leukemia Foundation with Chopard

Basel, March 20th 2010 – To celebrate its 150th anniversary, Chopard invited José Carreras and Sara Baras to perform in an effort to benefit the famous tenor’s foundation against leukaemia, the José Carreras International Leukemia Foundation.

On the evening of the 20th of March, at the Musical Theatre Basel, Chopard hosted a spectacular party to celebrate its 150th Anniversary. A long-time friend of the Scheufele family, José Carreras performed with Spanish flamenco dancer, Sara Baras to benefit his foundation against Leukeamia. Following the concert, the Maestro joined all the friends of Chopard, among which Jacky Ickx, for a cocktail dinner and followed by an after-party which took place at the backstage-area of the theatre.

Beautiful models wearing spectacular creations from the special 150th Anniversary High Jewellery Animal World Collection, walked among the guests while the Gypsy Queens - a quintet playing lively retro-folk music, rocked the party!

The Geneva based company has built its reputation to serving causes it holds particularly dear, through a commitment to various charitable and philanthropic organisations.
